Fabrice knows that for Demetri to invite him back to his place is a big deal. Demetri who has an image to maintain, not just for the public, but for his father, is risking some of that image with his invitation. It makes Fabrice's thoughts swirl and his heart stutter a bit. He squeezes his hand, to let him know how much it means to him as he follows him.
