"I remain myself in my deer form, yes," he nods. He neglects to mention that if he stays transformed long enough, the animal instinct takes over. Nor does he mention how doubtful it is that he can ever recover from such a situation. Better not to worry his cousin any more than he has to. "Not in the middle of town, no," he shakes his head. "But there are plenty of bold hunters out there who don't care where or when they get their deer."
